The question often arises: what can be done safely now for the benefit of the future independent state? A Ukrainian subscriber of our Telegram channel shared her thoughts and experience.

One of the serious problems of any young state is personnel shortage. Here in the east, we felt very acutely these personnel holes when we had to create regional departments from scratch and poor specialists came due to the lack of normal personnel.

Kim Vasin did not question how the imperials would perceive translations of Russian-speaking writers into the Mari language.

Will they ask how “absurd” “Eugene Onegin” sounds in the Mari language, what the learned cat in Lukomorye says and why Mari literature is needed in general. He simply took and translated, knowing that the writers whom Moscow designated as Russian are replicated most easily and quickly, so this would make it easier for the Mari to expand their own language environment.

In my opinion, the Bashkorts are deliberately killed in the war, solving two of their issues at once: 1) military, where the Bashkorts are cannon fodder, a profitable consumable for deadly attacks; 2) gendarmerie, where guys from Ufa, Ishimbay, Kumertau, Baymak and other cities and regions are a potentially dangerous contingent, hidden nationalist rebels who are easier and safer to deal with at the front without attracting much attention.

In 2017, the population of this city was 100,000 people, and now there are not even 10,000. For comparison, what kind of ambulances and fire trucks there were in Lisichansk under the Ukrainian government and what they are like under the Russian Minnikhanov`s assistants. All modern machines were either destroyed or stolen and sent to Moscow and others like them – to the so-called “Russian cities”. More of them were stolen than destroyed. Therefore, “surplus” Soviet municipal transport is being confiscated from rural areas of Tatarstan and being sent to Lisichansk.

The State Duma will consider a bill that will oblige entrepreneurs in Russia to design signs in Russian. First this, and then any other languages on signs will be banned altogether. It already occurred.

All that is left is to ban the following words:

In Alabuga, what had to happen happened; everyone knew about this fatal inevitability. From the very beginning! But they tried not to speak out loud or even think – they drove away bad thoughts. That’s why both Moscow and St Petersburg seem insulated from any crises or the war. For the war they scoop up the population from the colonies and bring in mercenaries from different countries, sparing by all means the capital or the ex-capital. They took away most of the air defenіe and other things. They don’t have any shortage of fuel, nor large-scale natural disasters – because they are zealously protected on our account. No one is going to save the Volga region from the flood or anything, but that would never be allowed to happen in Moscow.

He said about the capture of Paris, he said about the capture of Berlin, but he did not say about the capture of Kazan… Did he forget, or something? Or is this a not-so-convenient truth?

It turns out that the results of the Tourist Cities All-Imperial  Award were summed up in Voronezh. The colonies competed for the best feedback from their hosts in the metropolis. Out of 64 cities, Saransk became the winner in the Best City of Ethnic and Cultural Tourism category. The colonists who were in the jury most appreciated the dancing, food and souvenirs, and not the almost complete absence of the Erzyan language, architecture and even Erzyan clothing on the streets of the city. But the colonial jury does not care about this.

13 miners have been under rubble at the Pioneer mine in the Amur region for more than a week. Five shift workers from Bashkortostan are among them.
