The braid of the serf peasant woman Tatyana Petrova was attached as “material evidence” to the criminal case of the district court of Улатӑр (Ulatӑr) about landowner Vera Sokolova’s cruel treatment of her serfs. The criminal case is currently kept in the State Historical Archives of Chuvashia.

The document about the story with the landowner said the following:

Although the ROC would never agree to something like this — because the mother church of all Orthodox Christians simply never authorized the existence of the ROC and the Moscow Patriarchate. They are nothing more than impostors.

Osipov also did not like the Tatar woman’s style of speech, and he said that the woman should learn Russian, otherwise she and her children, who were with her, would be deported.
