Today, early in the morning, the activist Ilmira Rakhmatullina’s younger sister Amrita was beaten by a group of unknown people.

Erzyans announced preparations for the national congress.  Due to increased repression at home, delegates will gather in Estonia.  According to the notice published on the website of the national movement, the congress will take place at the end of September, but the final place of its holding is kept secret.

So, we continue to work on the results of the VIII Congress of the WTC, at which the delegates unanimously (except for Fauzia Bayramova) supported the invasion of Russian troops into Ukraine.

The Finno-Ugric cause and Muscovite aggression against Ukraine

History does not know and does not tolerate the subjunctive mood, which is why, like veritata magistra vitae, it forces descendants to correct the mistakes of their ancestors. Not infrequently, and sometimes, even often, the process of correction is a rather bloody lesson for an entire generation that has just risen to its feet in the big world. The Finno-Ugric world, when viewed as a separate closed linguistic and cultural super-community (in a broader sense, a kind of civilization), is one of those that, moreover, is still little explored in Ukraine.

From publications in the media, we got to know about the intention of the chairman of Milli Shur, Vasil Shaikhraziev, to introduce a statement “on supporting a special military operation” into the resolution of the VIII Congress of the World Congress of Tatars.

Last weekend, the Free Nations League held rallies and pickets in Europe and the United States. The organization, which unites representatives of the national and regionalist movements of the nations held captive by the Russian Federation, has brought supporters of the independence of the national republics and separate Russian territories to the streets.

On July 17, the Free Nations League (FNL), which united representatives of nations held captive by the Kremlin, appealed to US President Joe Biden. In their open letter, activists of national movements ask for support for their peoples in exercising their right to self-determination.

On July 9, 2022, in a village of Chukaly (Bolsheignatovskiy district, Republic of Mordovia) the national prayer gathering of Erzya people, popularly known as Ras’ken’ Ozks, took place. It is known that Ras’ken’ Ozks was forbidden as early as 1629 by Russian tsar’s decree. However Erzya people continued to support their religious tradition unofficially, particular during totalitarian rule of Russian communists. For first time after a long period of abandonment renovated folk prayer gathering took place on July 17, 1999. The representatives of Erzya intellectulas, activists of Erzya national revival Mariz’ Kemal and Kshumantsian’ Pirguzh have initiated the prayer gathering. Traditionally the venue for such a solemn event was chosen in connection with Erzya history, namely an ancient burial mound in a village of Chukaly, which confines, according to ancient legend, over 11 thousand of Moksha, Mari and Udmurt warriors fallen in 1612 in a battle with the Nogai horde. Since that time Chukaly became the traditional location for Ras’ken’ Ozks, that is conducted every three years.

Russia on the whole and the colonies in particular likely lack good news. A series of humiliating defeats and the defeat of a few battalion-tactical groups at the attempt to cross the Seversky Donets River, the complete withdrawal of the Russian troops from five regions (Kyiv, Zhytomyr, Chernyhiv, Sumy and Mykolaiv regions) are difficult to be powdered by Soloviov’s and Skabeieva’s speeches. The matter is that in the coming weeks the situation is going to get only worse as Ukrainians have already made a significant counter-offensive success in the Kharkiv region. By the end of May, the Kharkiv region is so far likely to be the sixth region which the Russians will heroically retreat to the previously prepared positions’. 

Under the guise of demilitarization and denazification of Ukraine, the destructive war, which Russia called a “special military operation”, began the transition to a new world order, destroying the world order that had formed after the collapse of the Soviet Union.
