In Kazan, Tatar activists recalled the day of the Tatar referendum, which took place 31 years ago on March 21, 1992. Activists of STM “Azatlyk” on the central Bauman street of the capital of Tatarstan held an action, during which 5000 thousand Tatar ribbons were distributed.

According to the leader of the Union of Tatar Youth “Azatlyk” Nail Nabiullin, today’s action the Tatar youth recalled the most important day in the history of the Tatar people – the day of the referendum on the status of Tatarstan in 1992.

A 36-year-old local was accused of throwing paint cans at the Z-swastika on the facade of the Izhkar Opera House. It was still on 24 February, but the police were unable to find the culprit for a long time.

One of the problems of the Tatar and Bashkir is that millions of our compatriots live abroad, but the Tatar and Bashkir diaspora is almost nowhere. There are people jumping in sacks and carrying table tennis balls in their mouths.
