“First department”: FSB is persuading family members of those leaving the country to return them to Russia

Human rights activists think that “someone desperately wants promotion for searching “spies””. 

“Idel.Realii” referring to the “First department” human rights protection project that FSB summon the relatives of those who left Russia and persuade them to talk those leaving Russia over.

Since the war started, many requests were made on consultation from people against whom FSB wanted to open criminal cases. Many people have left Russia since that time. However, now the project notes that their family members are summoned to talk to FSB and persuade their family members to return to Russia. 

Human right activists consider that “most likely someone wants to get the promotion for searching for spies.”
