It has started already: Estonia will insist on restoring its territorial integrity

The forced boundary revision of Russia has started. Today, the Estonian parliament is considering the government’s offer to recall the signature under the agreement on land and sea borders with Russia as of February 18, 2014.

After Baltic countries’ occupation by the Soviet Union, Petserimaa county (currently Pechorsky district, Pskov region), as well as suburbs of Narva, the closest border point Ivangorod, were withdrawn from small Estonia. After the USSR collapse Estonia demanded to recover the territories under the 1920 Tartur peace agreement without any success.

There is no official agreement between Estonia and Russia about borders. Finally, someone dared to make territorial claims against Russia. Other neighbors might decide shortly the Kreml is weak enough to recall their old territorial offenses. The Russian map might visually drastically change. If Russia will exist in its current borders.
