In the autumn, prepare a backpack for your child… for the war
When time has come to get children ready for school, some grandmothers in Chuvashia are busy packing backpacks for their grandchildren. But not for school – for the war. The “help backpack” campaign is being widely promoted throughout the republic. In the republic, where the population does not have enough money to get a child ready for school, because it costs about 25,000 – 30,000 rubles.
In 2021, there was even a state program for paying benefits of 10,000 rubles to buy at least the most basic things for a child for school – 170,000 families who could not get their children ready for school on their own took advantage of this. In total, about 17.1 billion rubles were spent from the budget at that time. 170,000 families are not 170,000 children, because families can have more than one child. Statistics say that in 2020 there were 258,000 children in Chuvashia. That is, either Nikolaev and his accomplices pocketed a significant part of the amount, or the absolute majority of families with children took advantage of this assistance. Hundreds of thousands of children in Chuvashia were given the opportunity to at least minimally be prepared for school. Although even then this amount was too small. The payment was one-time, but since Chuvashia allocated much more than 17.1 billion for the war, nothing (except the war) prevented it from continuing to perform such a payment in the future and even to significantly increase it.
After the start of the full-scale war, no one has received any such payments, although the prices have long been different. Now payments of 1,000 – 3,000 rubles per child for school are provided, but even then mainly for the families of the war participants – everyone else will not receive them. Where does the republic’s money go, which could be spent on schoolchildren? Not only on the war itself. Chuvashia is also preparing children of displaced persons from Donbass to school – whose parents were first left unemployed and destitute (mercenaries from Chuvashia, who, together with the rest of the Russian army, participated in the destruction of the foreign cities, are also to blame for this), and then were taken to Chuvashia altogether: some were deceived, some were intimidated, and some were promised a colorful life, but all were left with nothing and living on donations. Now the children of displaced persons who survived the Russian bombs must be prepared for school with the help of expenses from the budget of Chuvashia, because their parents simply have nowhere to work and nothing to provide for their children. Although not long ago that region was richer than Chuvashia itself.
Unlike the Nikolaev`s mercenaries who went to the war to kill for the promised huge salaries and incredible benefits, many Chuvash families barely make ends meet, and sometimes they do not have the opportunity not only to prepare their child for school, but also to provide him with at least a normal amount of clothing, shoes and healthy food. It is at them that the imperial propaganda posters are aimed, which enticingly say, “Go to the war for the Motherland – and you will not be a beggar, you will be able to provide for your child.” But Russia is not the Motherland for the Chuvash people, but an occupier who has always thrown and throws any Chuvash into the very hell.
