In Tatarstan, 710 billion rubles were collected in the first half of 2024
69% of this amount was sent to Moscow, Marat Safiullin, the head of the regional department of the Federal Tax Service, reports. According to the statement of Rustam Minnikhanov, the collective farm rais, only 298 billion rubles were received in the consolidated budget of the Republic of Tatarstan for January-June.
Tatarstan customs alone transferred more than 1 billion of customs duties to Moscow.
Thanks to the next tax increase, which was announced in May 2024, Tatarstan collected 171 billion rubles more than during the same period last year.
In 2023, the budget of the Republic of Tatarstan was planned for 2024 as 399.599 billion rubles, while Moscow took almost 812 billion rubles from the republic.
In 2022, Tatarstan transferred 71% of its revenues to Moscow, Radik Gaizatullin, Minister of Finance reported. The amount transferred was more than 1 trillion rubles, and Tatarstan kept only 330 billion rubles for itself.
And what about Moscow? In the first half of 2024, its budget revenues (formed mainly with money from the colonies) amounted to 2.366 trillion rubles, while expenses were 1.85 trillion rubles. Moscow spends less than it has because it has more than it can spend. While the republics subject to it are constantly forced to make ends meet and look for money and guess how to enter the next year without debts and budget deficit.
