From 5,000 to 7,000 people attended a people’s gathering against the geological development of the Irandyk mountain range by gold miners, because it is the barbaric development of the subsoil that leads to oncological diseases among the local population.

They spoke mainly in the Bashkort language. The people’s gathering was visited by Azamat Abdrakhmanov, the occupying Vice Prime Minister, who participated in the dispersal of protesters against the development of the Kushtau shikhan and personally destroyed the tent camp of eco-activists. The crowd greeted him with cries of “go away.”
