A mercenary from Tatarstan was tortured by commanders so that he would not receive money
His sister reported this story. 37-year-old Rishat Shakurov from Shemerden village signed a contract last summer. On May 20, Shakurov was attacked by a drone and his leg was injured, Astra informs.
At the headquarters of the 37th regiment they decided that they had too many crossbows, i.e. people who wanted to be quickly wounded, return home and receive 3 million rubles with some kind of medal in addition. Therefore, Richat was tied to a tree, beaten, starved and demanded to confess to the crossbow. The fellow soldiers reported everything to relatives. When the fighter’s sister contacted the military prosecutor’s office, Richat was removed from the tree and sent to the front line as a penalized soldier, but he managed to escape. He was caught, thrown into a pit for 13 days, and on July 9 he was transported to a basement for conscientious objectors in Zaitsevo in the Lugansk region. Since then, no one knows anything about Richat.
After coverage in the media, this basement was “closed”, and now it is working again. About 300 people are sitting in this basement, and in total it is known about 15 such basements for conscientious objectors in the occupied territory of Ukraine. Judging by the number of basements, there may be up to 5,000 Russian conscientious objector soldiers in them, but the list only includes basements known to journalists, which are still fewer than pits. Thus, the number of people incarcerated in such places could be much higher. The Russian army has been using pits and basements in Ukraine since 2014. Can you imagine how many people who wanted to earn easy money in the imperial war have passed through them in 10 years?
