The European Parliament is asked not to discuss the destiny of Russian territories behind the backs of the enslaved peoples

The League of Free Nations, which unites the peoples enslaved by Moscow in their struggle for the realization of the right to self-determination, has appealed to the President of the European Parliament, Roberta Metsola.

“We have become aware of the preparation of the meeting of Russian opposition groups in exile with the leadership of the European Parliament. Unfortunately, this is not the first time we receive information that the so-called “good Russians” are holding meetings with Western politicians, speaking on behalf of all the territories that are now part of the Russian Federation. Therefore, we are obliged to make a public statement,” the press service of the League of Free Nations reports.

Representatives of the League draw the attention of the European Parliament leadership to the fact that ethnic non-Russians make up a significant part of the population of the Russian Federation, and the national republics occupy the vast territory of the federation – but the voice of the autochthonous peoples of the Russian Federation is ignored and systematically suppressed.

The organization is angry about the fact that the Russian opposition circles in exile speak publicly on behalf of all the territories and all the peoples of the Russian Federation, without having a representative mandate, “Any negotiations regarding the territories that are now under the rule of Moscow should be held with our participation: Tatars, Bashkirs, Buryats, Yakuts, Kalmyks, Chechens, Erzyans, Mokshans, Cossacks, as well as representatives of other peoples and regionalist movements.”

The authors of the appeal affirm that Russian opposition politicians in exile can represent themselves, but none of the national movements, not a single national representative body has given them a mandate to represent the interests of the enslaved peoples.

“The dialogue “about Russia” with representatives of Moscow elites or counter-elites behind the backs of the peoples of the North Caucasus, Idel-Ural, Siberia, as well as other Moscow colonies, will irreversibly lead to a radicalization of the situation. People will receive a clear signal from European politicians: they are talking to Muscovites about our lands and our wealth, they are talking behind our backs,” the members of the Free Nations League summarize.

We remind you that on November 11, the first meeting of the Free Nations Club, a discussion platform for the interaction of the national and regionalist movements of the Russian Federation with European politicians, took place. The meeting was chaired by Mantas Adomenas, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Lithuania . The event was organized by the League of Free Nations.
