Our military cemetery will be the most beautiful, and we will constantly expand it

Gauleiter Zaitsev ordered that the section of the Turunovskoye cemetery in Yoshkar-Ola where the mercenaries and mobilized people sent by him to the war are buried be improved — the so-called Alley of Heroes Alley of Mankurts.

Although many honored figures of the Mari El Republic are buried in this cemetery in the capital of the Mari Republic, and 5 graves and 2 tombstones here are cultural heritage sites, there are no plans to improve the rest of the cemetery yet. In general, it looks like a large rural cemetery, not a cemetery that is cared for — the only difference is a small chapel at the entrance and several asphalt paths. Zaitsev also promised that video surveillance would be installed over the military section to protect the fallen “heroes” from the people’s “love”.

Moreover, new fences and tombstones would be installed on the graves using budget money, even though these were relatively recent burials and they simply would not have had time to deteriorate. That is, either so many people were buried and in a hurry that they did not even have time to install fences and tombstones, or Zaitsev and his accomplices came up with another scheme to embezzle the republican budget, and the tender for “improvement” would definitely be won by some funeral company associated with him or his relatives/friends.
