Moscow is actively trying to create new points of tension within Idel-Ural republics
The story of the alleged desire of Ulatăr city residents to leave Chuvashia and join either Ulyanovsk or Mordovia is regularly spread on the air by the Kremlin information dumps for intense debates and quarrels among the population. The occupation authorities call such “plans” fake, but nevertheless they regularly talk about them. So that people continue to discuss, quarrel, and conflict.
Chuvashia is one of the least conflicting republics in terms of its neighbors’ claims on its territory or its own claims on its neighbors’ territories. Therefore, it is extremely important for the rushists to destroy this balance, so that the Chuvash also look for enemies among their neighbors, and do not see them in Moscow.
The imperial principle of “divide and rule” has not disappeared. If the problem were real, and not far-fetched, then the reason would be much more serious than the banal, “we did not like those boyars (nobles) whom the king appointed for Chuvashia, so we will move on to those boyars whom the king appointed for Ulyanovsk or Mordovia.” In addition, the real expression of the will of the local population would never be shown on Kremlin TV.
Moscow needs an additional pressure point. Moreover, it needs to show that national republics do not exist – they are supposedly just “regions” and from these regions one can resubordinate himself anytime and anywhere at any whim. And if this is so, then republics are not needed, regions are enough. Anyway, “no one wants to live in these republics – everyone is being separated away from the local tyrant princes.” The princes who are appointed by the king, but he supposedly does not know about their affairs – the king is always good, only the boyars can be bad.
