Media briefing of chief elder of Erzya people

On Wednesday, June 16, a briefing of Syreś Bóläeń, chief elder (Inyazor) of Erzya people, will be held in front of the Estonian National Museum (Muuseumi tee 2, Tartu, Estonia) starting at 11 a.m.

Position of national representative bodies of Erzya people on following issues will be announced during the briefing:

• non-admission of Erzya delegates to VIII World Congress of Finno-Ugric Peoples;
• current situation of Erzya people and challenges that must be discussed at the Congress;
• proposals of Erzya people for the Congress;

Syreś Bóläeń will also read out a statement to Estonian government and answer journalists’ questions.
