Minister of Trade and Services of the Republic Aleksey Gusev submitted a report to Kurultai parliament members of Bashkortostan on the prices in the food market.
Based on the official statistics, forging the figures as a rule, within the last 3 weeks the sunflower oil price has increased by 9%, bread – by 11%, rice – by 13%, buckwheat – by 16.7%, potato – by 9.4%, sugar – by 27.3%. The price for diapers has gone up by 22%, receiving blankets – by 16%, and pacifiers – by 44%.
Gusev said nothing about the sugar deficit in other regions. This is not about the deficit. Many manufacturers simply can’t timely ship and deliver the goods and products and place them on the shelves.”
“Let’s be honest. It was a banal flare-up in prices for all types of commodities. All commodities are imported from other countries. We do not have our own production”, bursted out Viacheslav Riabov, the LDPR fraction chairman in the republican parliament. Look around. We are in the premises where all goods are not manufactured here. We are fully dependent on the market of other countries. When it comes to agricultural manufacturers, large subsidies are granted to them. However, we are not self-sufficient even in growing potatoes. We are now importing potatoes from Egypt.”
Aleksey Gusev attempted to prove that everything was not so bad in the trade industry, but he failed to soothe the parliament members.
