Pavel Stepanov from Kolay village had social media accounts called The Spirit of the Truth of All Rus, Kazan Phenomenon, and Sovereign Pavel Aleksandrovich Stepanov.

No one was interested in this until he made a video criticizing Putin. Then Stepanov was immediately reminded of 2022, when he criticized the market economy, the war and Putin, and also spoke out against Jews and Asian peoples. For this, he was fined 30,000 rubles in the case of “discrediting the  Armed Forces of the Russian Federation”, but no one paid attention to the Nazi statements either then or now – each time he was charged only for criticizing Russia and its leadership, and not for obvious manifestations of Nazism.

According to Stepanov, Asians and Jews, not Russians, are to blame for unleashing the full-scale war between Russia and Ukraine. This is exactly the point of view that will prevail among Russians already after the end of this war – they will never admit that they themselves wanted the war and started it themselves, so they would immediately find “scapegoats”. They have already found them – almost all the so-called “opposition” Muscovites say that Moscow is not guilty of the war, since only “poor people from the provinces” go to the war, and Moscow has allegedly always been “the most oppositional”.

Stepanov would not have been sent for compulsory treatment if he had only said this. The reason was exactly his anti-Putin speeches. Over the past 2 years, 53 people have been sent for compulsory treatment, all for criticizing the king of Moscow.
